Jeannie Mai's Designer Search at CSULB

From the show 'How Do I Look?' on Style network, Jeannie Mai's crew, also known as the 'Pretty Possee', came to Cal State Long Beach to search for young designers.  Stylist, Bory Tan and assitant stylist, Christina Pombo held auditions for fashion students in hopes to find a 'Jeannie Mai' outfit. This glamorous crew were nothing but sweethearts, they represent the fashion industry with their style, confidence, and delightful company.
Out of about 22 designers, they will be selecting one lucky student to design an outfit for Jeannie Mai.
Good Luck CSULB students!

Here are two of the designers that entered the competition.

I am finally back in California from my Holiday travels. I had the privilege of adventuring through the winter wonderland cities of Chicago, New York, and Akron, Ohio(hometown).
Here is a peek into my Ohio and Chicago trip....NY's dazzling pics will be up soon!

Fit of the Day

These sequin shorts and cropped fur vest are two of my favorite little 'treats' in my closet. I love the combination of fur and sequins and even a little ruffled shoulder adds extra flare...because this outfit totally needs it! ha
Everyday you get the chance to play dress up...so act like you're 5 years olds again and have fun with your outfits!

Game Changers

There are certain pieces that you can add to your wardrobe to really make your outfits 'sing'...I call these pieces 'Game Changers'.
Statement pieces that you can add to outfits to give it more flare...I usually find statement accessories like funky belts, scarves, or necklaces.  I like to switch it up too by using a scarf or big necklace as a belt.
A really bold garment that makes a statement can get the job done too. Also, play with accent colors...have a navy dress? Try a bright orange or pink belt with it! Have fun-it's your game, you make the rules!
